The question

How does vascular remodelling influence the distribution of stresses in a diseased artery? This work examines that question through patient-specific computational models of atherosclerotic carotids.

A living structure

The study extends the analysis to multiple patients and considers homeostasis-driven growth and remodelling. The model offers a way to investigate how these processes affect vascular stresses.

From patient-specific geometry to a better understanding of vascular mechanics.
